This year I have tested three Xiaomi phones: The Xiaomi 14 (review), which was priced at Rs 69,999 in India, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (review), which was priced at Rs 99,999. Then, Xiaomi launched a third in the series, the Xiaomi 14 Civi, which was launched at a starting price of Rs 42,999, with the higher variant going up to Rs 50,999. The Xiaomi 14 Civi is like the baby bear in Goldilocks’ tale — everything about it is “just right”. And now, the smartphone is selling at a starting price of Rs 37,999, which, in my opinion, makes it a steal deal.
The offer is available on Xiaomi India’s official website and is currently live. The base variant of the device, with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which was launched at Rs 42,999, is listed at Rs 40,999. Club with Rs 3,000 instant cashback with purchase via HDFC and ICICI Bank credit and debit card. Which brings the price down to Rs 37,999. You can also get up to Rs 3,000 off on exchange, which is in addition to the bank discount, which will further drop the price to Rs 34,999.

On the Xiaomi India homepage, the website also mentions Rs 1,000 flat off, which can be claimed via a coupon code, for any purchase over Rs 9,999. This means, the phone can be bought for as low as Rs 33,999.

In my review for the Xiaomi 14 Civi, I found that it is “a fantastic choice in the sub-Rs 50,000 budget. The only pain-point of the device is its battery life, but the 67W fast charge quickly makes up for it. Besides that, the device has a beautiful display, a light and handy design, and a great set of cameras, and one of the best things about the smartphone is its pricing”.
Here is another thing: there aren’t a lot of good alternatives in the sub-Rs 50,000 price segment anyway. There is the OnePlus 12R (review), and the Nothing Phone 2 (review). But that’s it. However, with its Leica partnership for cameras, 67W fast charging, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, up to 12GB RAM and a 120Hz AMOLED display, the 14 Civi is one of the best options in the segment. And now with the Diwali with Mi offer, I can’t recommend it more.
The Xiaomi 14 Civi is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, combined with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. At just 177g and a slim 72.7mm thickness, it is noticeably lighter than its Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra counterparts.
Photography remains a major focus for the Xiaomi 14 Civi, continuing the legacy of the Xiaomi 14 series. It features Leica lenses, including the iconic Summilux. The rear triple camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with the Light Hunter 800 image sensor, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and a 25mm equivalent focal length. There’s also a 50MP telephoto lens with a 50mm portrait focal length and 2x zoom, as well as a 12MP ultra-wide lens offering a 120-degree field of view and a 15mm equivalent focal length. The rear cameras can record in 4K HDR at 30 fps and 4K at 24/30/60 fps.
On the front, the device boasts a dual camera setup: a 32MP main selfie camera and a 32MP ultra-wide lens. These front cameras support 4K video recording at 30 fps, Night mode, and HDR, among other features.
The Xiaomi 14 Civi packs a 4,700mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It also includes Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system for optimal performance. Other key features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and NFC.
